This Sunday would've marked the 42nd birthday of the illustrious hip-hop virtuoso, J Dilla. In celebration, Super Duty Tough Work (SDTW) will be hosting their 2nd annual Dilla Day, a celebration of J. Dilla's life through the talents of Winnipeg's music community. The Enemy will be reporting on the event, as we did last year, but we also wanted to put together our own special something for the man who changed so many lives. So here's The Dilla Tape, a collection of Dilla-produced tracks, his own songs, and instrumentals, as well as a couple of remixes and renditions by musicians inspired by him. We asked SDTW's frontman Brendan Kinley to contribute a few of his favourite tracks as well. Celebrate Dilla this Saturday at the Good Will, and anytime you want with this mixtape.
